ONE Fight Night 17 is approaching, but before the anticipated event, ONE Championship has changed one of its lineups. With Niclas Larsen withdrawing from his scheduled featherweight Muay Thai bout due to injury, the promotion company has chosen Danish fighter Luke Lessei to fight Jo Nattawut.

This will be the debut of the Danish, which will undeniably be a tough fight as he will face a veteran in the field. Despite Lessei’s 6-foot-1-inch frame, the 5-foot-10-inch Thai opponent is a heavy hitter, which has been proven in his 83-fight professional career.

Nattawut comes from a three-fight losing streak from his earlier fights against pound-for-pound fighters, such as featherweight Muay Thai master Tawanchai PK Saenchai and ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov. With this, it is certain “Smokin’” will be desperate for a win next month. For Lessei, nonetheless, winning this fight as a debutant will help him give his Muay Thai entrance a boost.

The ONE Fight Night 17 will be on December 8 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. It will air live in the US on Amazon Prime Video at 8 p.m. ET.
