BP. CAN YOU TELL ME A BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND. WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE LAUNCHING YOUR OWN BRAND IN 2010?
DA. I lived in Hamburg for a while working for a local fashion house. I designed the knitwear and wovens there. It was a small scale more commercial company, nothing like what we do here, but I learned a lot during that time.

BP. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT FASHION?
DA. Fashion is very broad.  What I like about what we do is that it makes us happy. Everyday we get up and do something that we like. We can make our own choices in every step and control our ecological footprint a bit.

BP. YOU MAKE MOST OF THE PIECES IN YOUR COLLECTION BY HAND. DO YOU FEEL THERE IS STILL AN APPRECIATION FOR CRAFTSMANSHIP?
DA. There really is. Most of our clients appreciate the way we work and the quality we deliver.

BP. WHAT DO THINK ABOUT MASS PRODUCED 'LUXURY' FASHION THAT IS BEING SOLD AT THE SAME PRICE AS YOUR DESIGNS THAT ARE MADE BY HAND IN SMALL QUANTITIES?
DA.The prices are fine I think, it’s just how the money is divided is wrong. It really depends on where and how the collection is produced, so again, fashion is very broad, even in Luxury Fashion the approach to deliver a unique product or a mass product can be different…..

BP. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE FASHION INDUSTRY TODAY?
DA. Very chaotic in many ways. Unless it is a retro trend, people don’t really know….

BP. YOU JUST BECAME A FATHER. HAS THAT EXPERIENCE CHANGED YOU? IF YES, HOW?
DA. It changed me in valuing my time even more.

BP. DO YOU WORRY ABOUT HIS OR HER FUTURE?
DA. I prefer not to worry about everything, but try to make a difference in everything.

BP. HOW 'GREEN' ARE YOU IN YOUR OWN LIFE?
DA.  On a scale from 1-10? 7 only, I drive a car.

BP. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE OR MANTRA?
DA. OJA

BP. WHAT IS OJA?
DA. OJA are the initials of my son; Oskar Johannes Andresen. And OJA will be the name of our full organic, botanical dyed, made in Antwerp kids collection. We will launch it in January 2018.

BP. THANK YOU FOR THIS INTERVIEW.
DA. Thank you :-)
